Southwest Urban Ventures has finished the landscape-salvage program at Urban Edge, its 60-home build-to-rent community at 960 E. Baseline Rd., Phoenix. Mature mesquite, palo verde, and native cacti were carefully relocated for re-use once vertical construction begins.

“Completing salvage in a careful, sustainable way sets the tone for what comes next,” said Travis Cadman, co-founder of Southwest Urban Ventures. Grading, underground utilities, and building-permit issuance are now scheduled through July 2026.

Urban Edge will deliver energy-efficient two- and three-bedroom townhomes with private yards and smart-home technology, expanding the supply of attainable housing in South Phoenix.
